Summertime & we've just wrapped up our call for submissions for APIARY 9: Sanctuary! 

Before we get down to reading yr work, we thought we'd take a moment to share w/ you some sweet events coming up this month.

Zinzi Clemmons | What We Lose at the Free Library of Philadelphia

Zinzi Clemmons will read from her debut novel What We Lose, which tells the story of Thandi, a young woman caught between cultures as she struggles with love, unexpected motherhood, and the loss of the person who shaped her most.

 

Fri. 7/14: DOUBLE HEADER

Last Kind Words: Erik Bader/Allen Crawford at Brickbat Books

7pm-10pm

Erik Bader will read the final chapter of his recently completed novel, and Allen Crawford will read selections from his new work-in-progress.

 

Bibliococktails: The Murders in the Rue Morgue at the Rosenbach Museum & Library

7pm-9pm, $30 general admission ($20 member price)

An Edgar Allen Poe themed edition of this ‘series celebrating great literature & great libations’.  Includes light refreshments & themed cocktails!  21 and up.
